Historical Background
Mzumbe Secondary School was established in 1923 as a “bush school” in Kibiti, later relocating to Dar es Salaam in 1930 and then to Morogoro after World War II. Initially, it catered exclusively to the children of black leaders and chiefs, eventually becoming a regular secondary school in 1957. The school held its first Form Four graduation ceremony in 1960.
